Sydney shootings
« on: March 07, 2016, 01:25:35 PM »

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-03-07/emergency-services-respond-shooting-reports-south-west-sydney/7226058

Police have confirmed that one person has been killed and two others injured in a shooting in Ingleburn in Sydney's south-west.

Tactical operations unit police and the public order and riot squad have surrounded Inline, a signage business, in an industrial estate on Heald Road at Ingleburn after reports of a shooting about 10:45am (AEDT).

It is understood an armed person is still inside.

Two of the injured men, one shot in the leg and one shot in the shoulder, have been taken to hospital for treatment but their conditions are not known.

The immediate area has been evacuated and members of the public are being warned to stay away.

Police have not confirmed whether there are hostages inside

Police said they do not believe the shooting is terrorism related.

A police spokeswoman said it is a "live situation" and officers are still trying to confirm details.

OMG what has Australia come to. Every day there seems to be a shooting or a knifing. It makes me sad.

There seems to be waves of violence. It happens in areas of Melbourne, too.

Some guy decided to hold up a local shop with a knife. He escaped into bush land, so all the surrounding schools were put into Lockdown.

Yes, sometimes. The murder of James Gao ( young student)  in Sydney was definetly drug related.
Two older men responsible - ex cop and his friend. Took the drugs of Gao and killed him. CCTV was their undoing.

Drug related possibly?

Yes, and I believe it was all family involved, father and sons.
