Secret US material on 9/11 being reviewed
« on: April 20, 2016, 11:06:43 AM »

Several members of the House and Senate, including House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, have joined 9/11 families in pressuring for declassification of 28 pages that are part of government documents compiled on the 9/11 attack amid speculation of a possible role by Saudi Arabia.

Former US senator Robert Graham, who helped write the report that includes the 28 redacted pages, recently told CBS's 60 Minutes the secret material could reveal possible Saudi backing for the men who hijacked aeroplanes, flying two into the World Trade Center in New York and another into the Pentagon.

Why would 28 pages of the report have been "redacted"?

Got something to hide President Obama?

April 11, 2016
President Obama in Saudi Arabia shortly after he was elected, 2009.

Just 10 days before his trip to kiss the Saudi royal hem one more time, President Obama has been hit by a  program  on what he will not release—the secret "28 pages" of the 2002 Congressional investigation of 9/11, which reportedly describe the Saudis' involvement in and support for those attacks.

Democratic Party Congressional leader Nancy Pelosi called for the release of those secret pages, which is the promise to the 9/11 victims' families Obama has repeatedly broken throughout his dismal presidency.

So you don't believe in the existence of 28 pages that have been redacted out of the original 9/11 report?

Even though Obama indirectly confirms it.

And you don't think Bush covered up the Saudi involvement and blamed Saddam Hussein for it?
And subsequently invaded Libya looking for a "smoking gun" which was never found?

Yet the war in the middle-east rages on creating millions of refugees who are now impacting on Western nations.

Bush is great friends with the Saudi Royal family btw. And the Saudis have to date not taken in any refugees.

So what's your take?

Try putting it together in a post without mentioning "red-necks, bigots and islamophopes pls.
Maybe leave out "conspiracy theorist nutters, as well.

Just what you believe really happened on 9/11 thx...

when and if the material is released is when we will know.  if Obama releases the material (providing the law allows it) larouche will criticize him for that too .

''And you don't think Bush covered up the Saudi involvement and blamed Saddam Hussein for it?'' old news , nobody listened . I recall posters on CS like eve refusing to believe there were no WMD's when it had been proven to be true FFS . ''the truth'' no longer exists.

It is well documented that there were parts of the report that were withheld from general publication. The reason given was national security.

"National Security". Yes well. That covers a range of reasons, doesn't it?

Like, we don't want our population to rise against us for "national security"  reasons after they realise we've involved them into a war for no valid reason except that we want to stir trouble in the Middle-East. Especially after they realise they've been lied to by their elected govenment.

I suppose that we can speculate any number of things that may be attributed to "national security". It's not a new concept though and I suspect that there will always be some things which are withheld from the general public providing opportunity for people to suspect a cover up of wrong doing.

I don't always agree with how governments operate but I do believe that those we elect know more about running a country than I do. So I have to believe that the decisions that our elected officials make are ones made with good intentions for the benefit of the country which they represent.

If this isn't the case, in what way have either Bush or Obama personally benefited from "stirring trouble in the Middle East?"

For me, a lot of it comes down to "what's in it for them?"

How they benefited? Well if they got a large sum of money for example, there would be a paper trail that someone, somewhere would eventually follow and publicize. I guess time will tell with Obama, but as far as I know, there has been no speculation or innuendo that Bush has personally benefited in any way.

It's a bit like our situation with the Stop the Boat Policy for example. There is secrecy surrounding that, but it makes sense to me for it to be that way so as not to alert/inform those who are attempting to breach our borders in a manner that we object to etc on how we are doing what we are doing so as not to give them information on how to circumvent our actions.

Orchestrating something like 9/11 would surely amount to treason if conducted by a countryman or international charges similar to those handed down at Nuremberg, which i believe carries a life sentence in most states of the US. I find it hard to believe that any modern president of the US would be prepared to take such a risk for a personal benefit so small that no one has uncovered it in the last 15 ish years.
